Tonight's elementary boys basketball game will begin at 5:00. Tomorrow night's junior high girls basketball game will also begin at 5:00.

⛳💻 Coding in 5th Grade! 💻⛳ Our 5th graders have been working hard in computer science! Right now, they’re practicing different coding skills before they “golf” their way through the whole course. Timing, precision, and patience are all part of the game! Before we jump into complex code, we’re learning how important it is to plan ahead. Students are practicing writing pseudocode (basically an outline of their code) and using comments to help guide their programs. We’re also introducing the Delay Block — because sometimes you need to pause instead of rushing through! They’re doing an awesome job, and we can’t wait to see them apply all of these skills when they take on the full challenge soon!

Seniors and 8th graders to a trip to the District Court in Bowman. They were able to see a variety of cases and Judge Ehlis spent some time talking to the students about her job and what it took to become a District Judge. After court, Jodi Freier gave the students a tour of County Offices, Lt. Dunn talked about the Sheriffs Department and the students how each office operates and they do and will affect their lives.

The Pin Club is selling winter sweaters that are not sports specific as a fundraiser. If you would like one please stop by the school office and grab an order form and bring in the funds. Order forms will be returned November 17th!

Phoenix had the opportunity to attended the National Society of High School Scholars Conferees in Atlanta, GA this past week. NSHSS members automatically become lifetime members at the time of their initial membership. Each step along the way- from high school to college careers- NSHSS connects outstanding young scholars with the resources they need to develop their strengths and pursue their passions.
