📢 Field Trip Announcement – March 17th
On March 17th, Scranton 7th, 8th, and High school students who are not attending the Region X Band Festival will be taking a field trip to the Enchanted Highway.
During this trip, students will have the opportunity to learn more about North Dakota state history while seeing firsthand the incredible roadside sculptures created by local schoolteacher Gary Greff. Beginning in the early 1990s, Greff started building these larger-than-life metal sculptures as a way to celebrate the culture and spirit of our State.
This will be a great opportunity for students to experience a unique piece of North Dakota history while enjoying an educational day outside the classroom.
Students will leave at 8:30 and will return to school by 3:10. We look forward to a great day of learning and exploration!

The Hettinger/Scranton Nighthawks will be having their winter sports banquet on Sunday, March 15th at 5:30 in the Hettinger Public School gymnasium in Hettinger to celebrate the accomplishments of the boys' basketball, girls' basketball, boy's wrestling, and girls' wrestling athletes and teams. The Nighthawk Booster Club will be providing the main meal but are asking each family to bring their own beverage. We cannot wait for a fun night of celebrating our athletes and teams.
