Field Trip Grades 3-6 are on their field trip to Spearfish today!
Awards Program There will be an awards ceremony at 2:15 this afternoon for the JH and HS. This will include some extracurriculars and miscellaneous awards. The public is welcome.
Last Day of School Is this Friday with dismissal at 12:30!

Shout out to the Scranton Equity for volunteering to grill our burgers and hotdogs for field day Monday. The students had a blast and were well fed that day.
Field day was a success! Thank you to Dakota Western Bank for the shirts this year, the Scranton Equity for grilling, all of the Scranton staff for helping out, and the community for coming out and supporting our kids!
Thank you, Bowman Ambulance members EMT Danyel Titus and Medic Lindsey Schaaf for bringing the ambulance in observance of EMS Week.

Baseball Good luck Night Hawks as they compete at regionals!
Free Will Lunch and Elementary Field Day There is a free will hamburger/hot dog lunch on the north side of the kitchen today from 11:00-12:00. Proceeds will help fund the complex playground. Elementary Field Day will start at noon. Thank you for your support!

The Nighthawk track team will be having a BBQ in Hettinger on Monday for our final "practice" of the year! JH/HS track kids are all welcome and encouraged to come.
Scranton will leave directly after school to head over to Hettinger.
The bus for baseball will leave at 6:20 tonight from Scranton for a 7:00 departure from Hettinger. Good luck at regionals!
Don't forget Drivers Ed starts Monday morning at 8:00! Scranton students will use Microsoft TEAMS and will take the class in the ITV room in Scranton.
We can't wait to see you this Sunday!
FBLA and FFA FREE will breakfast to help students to attend National leadership conferences. Also will be a silent auction of gift baskets.
Field Day is on Monday!

We will be eating behind the school. All donations for lunch will go to our new park on the hill! Please be prepared for warm weather! We will NOT be handing out awards on Monday. They will be handed out during school on Thursday!

The Night Hawk Boost Club has a sports camp scholarship application that would award $50.00 per camp and per sport.
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage student athletes and help improve their skills. The application is available to students participating in Night Hawk sports and are entering grades 7 through 12. Applications should be returned to the school office or a booster club member. If you have any questions, please contact Mindy at 701-440-2111.
The Night Hawks will play Beulah at 11:00 AM on May 22nd in the first game of the Region 8 baseball tournament. The tournament will be hosted by Shiloh Christian School in Dwyer field. Admission for the tournament will be $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Good Luck Night Hawks!

K-2 Field Trip Is today to Bismarck!
Track and Field The regional track and field meet is today in Dickinson. good luck to all!
FBLA and FFA Are hosting a freewill pancake breakfast Sunday from 8:00 - 1:00 in the Scranton School cafeteria. Proceeds will help students attending national conventions this summer.

This 4x1 team was assembled a few years ago in 2021 and immediately had success.
The 2021 season times and progression throughout the season:
First race: 55.37
Second race: 54.24 (PR)
Third Race: 53.85 (PR & got them to state at regionals)
State track meet: 53.64 (Set the school record & PR’d)
The 2022 season:
Made it to state for the second straight season and ran a 53.96 which was close to a PR!
THIS SEASON times and progression throughout the season:
Tied the school record again with a 53:64 in Sturgis
Set a NEW school record in Killdeer with a time of 53.12
Yesterday in Dickinson: These girls ran a 52.64 which pre-qualified them for state for the first time, set the school record AGAIN, and are sitting 15th in the state!
These girls have worked so hard to get to this moment and all the credit goes to them! I think it’s fair to say that they were excited based on those smiles!

Color Run Lap cards are due by noon today! Mentors meet at 1:30, and the color run is at 2:45. Mrs. Anderson had five adult medium white t-shirts available for $5 each.
Baseball Today at 4:00 vs. Hazen in Hettinger. This is a make-up game. Please dismiss at 1:50 for departure at 2:00. Go Night Hawks!
