Huge shout out and congratulations to former Scranton Miner, MacKenzie (Mack) Klockziem, on being inducted into the Minot State Hall-of-Fame this weekend in Minot during their homecoming festivities. From all of us here at Scranton School, Congrats Kenzie! An NAIA Honorable Mention All-American who twice helped lead the Beavers to the NAIA National Tournament, Mack played four seasons on the hardwood for Minot State, just a few hours away from her home in Scranton, North Dakota. A product of Scranton High School, Mack was named to the All-Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) 2nd Team as a junior in 2008-09 and a senior 2009-10 for the Beavers, and named an Honorable Mention All-American in 2009-10, as well. As a freshman, she helped the Beavers to the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Tournament where Minot State advanced to the quarterfinals before its season ended. She again helped lead Minot State to the NAIA National Tournament as a senior in the spring of 2010 where the Beavers were eliminated in their first game. During her four-year career on the court for the Beavers, Mack scored 1,048 points - which ranks No. 10 all-time - grabbed 653 rebounds - which ranks No. 2 all-time - dished out 151 assists, made 119 steals, and blocked 26 shots in 119 games at Minot State. She was a 49.2 percent shooter (383-of-778) who also hit 64 3-pointers and went 218-of-306 at the free-throw line. As a senior, Mack had single-season highs of 483 points and 235 rebounds which ranks No. 7 all-time in single-season points scored, and No. 5 in single-season rebounds at Minot State.
