Scranton sixth graders joined other area sixth graders at the Bowman Haley Dam on Wednesday, October 5 to participate in Conservation Daze. There they were able to spend the morning traveling to five different stations learning and participating in activities relating to our state's natural resources, agriculture, and conservation. After lunch and a short hike, they were able to be up close to four raptors and learned many interesting facts about these types of birds. It was a beautiful fall day to be out enjoying nature and learning new things. Thank you to the Bowman Slope Soil Conservation District for a wonderful day!
