Celebrating the End of Another Remarkable School Year at Scranton Public School
As the academic year draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we've undertaken together. It's been a great year filled with challenges and successes.
Our students have demonstrated remarkable resilience, adaptability, and determination. We concluded the year with a wonderful graduation ceremony for our 12 graduates and the recognizing the Class of 1974's 50 year reunion. It is always great to see the pride our former students take when returning to Scranton.
As we celebrate the end of another successful school year, let us take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work and dedication of everyone in our school community. Whether you're a student, parent, teacher, or staff member, each one of you has played a vital role in making this year a success. Our students have already registered for next year and supplies and technology upgrades have been ordered. Take the summer to recharge and we will be back at it before we know it.
Over the summer, we will once again take the time and energy to upgrade areas in our school and on our grounds. The custodial staff will work hard to get everything in tip-top shape for next school year. While this is being done, there will be times when our building will be off limits to wax floors and complete other maintenance. One time frame we are certain of at this time, is the gym will be off-limits from June 17-July 4 in order to resurface the floor. Please continue to monitor our app and Facebook page for updated schedules.
The baseball playground project installation will begin the week of May 27th. The equipment has been here since last fall and we are eager to get this project finished. Another project we hope to start and finish early summer is the resurfacing of our outdoor basketball court and getting a pickleball court up and running as well.
Congratulations to our students for all that they have achieved this year, and thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this school year a memorable and meaningful one. Here's to a well-deserved summer break filled with rest, relaxation, and the anticipation of new beginnings.
Wishing you all a safe and joyful summer!
